Getting off on Grey
I'm not sure how widespread this is, or how far up the ladder of fashion it's travelled, but I must admit that of all the exciting choices available to me, my favorite trend for spring/summer 2006 is grey. Just grey. Normally I love color, color, color, but I've there's something strangely soothing about grey tank tops and skirts in soft, slightly stretchy jersey - and they seem to be everywhere.
I've become obsessed with gunmetal, doll grey and charcoal, because you can pair them with anything without having to resort to black and white (which magazines are touting as the "real" trend of summer 2006, incidentally). The best part is that it seems to be the really inexpensive stores here in Montreal that carry so much of it, so I can run out after work and pick up a new (grey) outfit for the night for $40!
A few examples of what I'm loving:

ShipShape Anchor Wrap Dress at Ravinstyle

Generra Ribbed Capsleeve Top at Ron Herman

Military Thermal Patch Pocket Culotte at Shop Bop

Joyce Embroidered Blazer at Polka Dots and Moonbeams
Anyone else on board the grey train? Here's hoping this isn't the first step on the way to goth.
