Ah, the tragic reality of swimwear. It would be easy to just buy a red hawaiian print string bikini, but you probably don't want to look like a drunk college girl on spring break, so you've got to put in the effort to find something special. Here are a few options that proclaim "I am hot and I am on vacation!" (or "I am hot and I live in Florida", I suppose).
Shell Buckle Bandeaux Bikini
Repeat after us: turquoise = instant tan. And as if the color wasn't enough reason to pick up this suit, the rollover bottom and shell accents probably are. Soft-fitting, comfortable, and with detachable straps. Get it at ASOS.

We're big proponents of the unusual one-piece, and this one from Seafolly, an Australian line, is certainly memorable. What's really fun is that it must look just like a normal bandeau bikini from the back, so you can catch people off guard when you turn around with a rum punch in your hand! Get it at Zodee.

Speaking of retro...how about this one? As seen on the extremely posh model at left, this suit was intended to be worn with massive sunglasses, a pedicure and a touch of snobbery. Get it at good old Bloomingdales.

You know you've run into some good stuff when even your usually beauty product-oblivious boyfriend keeps telling you how amazing you smell and grabbing you when you're trying to do the dishes.

Cake's Desserted Island Body Mousse is part Betty Crocker, part tropical island, with an unbelievable coconut-vanilla scent that lingers for hours after you put it on. The lotion really soothes just-shaved legs, too.

Having tried plenty of sprays and powders designed to "freshen" hair between washings, we were a bit skeptical about Cake's Satin Sugar, but shockingly, it actually did the job! Oil was absorbed near-instantly, leaving hair soft and fluffy again. The gingerbread-like aroma wasn't too shabby, either.
